~June Financials/Minutes: June minutes, Irvin motioned, Sally seconded. Motion carried.

~Randy gave the NRCS report as written. CSP applications are continuous with a cutoff of June 14th and application evaluation completion of July 11th and field verification and obligation deadline of August 30th. General EQIP applications now have to have 3 priority practices to be considered high and receive a ranking score; 22 applications met the criteria and have ranking scores with $354,000 worth of requests. Of the 14 Greenhouse Gas Initiative applications 8 moved to contracts for over $230,000; 5 were not funded; 1 was preapproved. Construction is completed for the SWCD Evergreen Lake CIG Grant and the control section of the Grove 2 stage ditch is waiting for completion. There are approximately 140 general and reenrolls for CRP.
~Bev gave her Legislative report. The Governor amendatory vetoed the concealed carry bill, meaning it will now go back to the House for their response during the veto session. The Governor has not signed HB0214 – the State’s FY14 budget as of yet. They will most likely have a special session this summer.
~Ross gave his RC report as written. The website has been updated and we continue to collect email addresses for electronic updates. The Pond Shocking Demonstration will be August 14th in Mclean at Bill Beeler’s pond with presentation from Mike Garthaus. Dave Feese SSRP application was not approved for funding. Howard Heatherwick SSRP application was approved for $10,000; looking for other options as it is a $50,000 job. Contract and W9 for cover crops was submitted. Tree and Fish flyers are planned to be send out mid-august. All CRP trees have been paid for. The Jim Rutherford Scholarship Outing has been scheduled for August 20th at Crestwicke Country Club and the Sportsmans club would like to help out. Prevailing Wage information was sent to the Normalite. Pheasants Forever is requesting cost share on the drill from the state and plants to purchase a new drill.
~Jackie gave her Watershed report as written. The CIG Evergreen Lake Water Quality Demonstration Project workshop was held July 9th. The waterway area still needs to be seeded and the monitoring equipment is planned to be installed this summer. The Evergreen Lake Shoreline Protection Project is now complete along with a small project new the emergency spillway. Jackie applied for a $10,000 special project grant from IDOA/BLWR for the White Oak boat ramp location, only $2,500 was received and the city of Bloomington will cover the remaining if no other grants are secured. Received a $45,000 grant for shoreline stabilization at the beach house. CRP signup is open and Jackie has been working with several producers about the CP-39 wetlands. TNC has selected someone to do the engineering at the potential sites. The Lady Landowner Breakfast was cancelled due to lack of interest. The tour of the T3 wetland site was July 9th. 44 fields were enrolled in the Adapt Network program this year. Sally motioned to pay Dave Kennedy for tiling work done at the watershed. Irvin seconded. Motion carried.
~Stephanie gave her AC report as written. The SWCD Newsletter is currently in production at Leesburg Printing in Florida. The main data for the Transect survey has been entered into the program but there were problems with entering the watershed data. The Jim Rutherford Scholarship Golf Outing flyers are finished and have been sent out with the newsletter. Everything is ready for the Summer Conference. Stephanie made a Beer Nuts basket to be auctioned off at the live auction and is working on the terrarium for the terrarium contest.

~New Business: The next Board meeting was set for August 14, 2013 at 7:30 a.m. at the USDA Service Center. The meeting concluded at 8:30 a.m.
